Campus Emergency Management
Emergency Management at Roxbury Community College is conducted in accordance with the Security and Emergency Management Plan (SEMP). The SEMP defines how the college provides for security and deals with emergencies. Consistent with applicable federal and state guidelines, the SEMP details how we use the National Incident Management System (NIMS), to include the Incident Command System (ICS) to approach and resolve various types of emergencies. The SEMP contains detailed guidance for the entire college community on how to react and respond to various types of emergency situations.
Emergency Management Team
The Emergency Management Team (EMT) is made up of key management personnel from the college, representing the various disciplines on campus. The EMT manages the SEMP and meets at least annually to review and update the plan as appropriate. The EMT also plans training exercises to test the various response procedures and uses the lessons learned from these exercises to improve and update the plan.
